Along with having that unfortunate “z” tagged onto the end of its name, Godz gives players the chance to take on the role of one of three deities in a quest to build the strongest following and conquer surrounding empires.
Few details are available at this point, but the story goes something like this: A really, really, really long time ago, the god of life and the goddess of death were having a disagreement of Biblical proportions. Their conflict was so fierce that three new gods appeared, Sasha, the goddess of love; Thon, the god of fire; and Sanon, the god of war.
Your job will be to take on the role of one of those three and, eventually, take on the goddess of death herself. A strategy game, players will build a city, fight over territories with their Facebook friends, form or join a religion in an effort to earn the most followers and, of course, grow more powerful.
Godz will unfold in chapters and, unlike many social games, Yucca promises that their title actually has an ending. You’ll be able to start from scratch after finishing, of course, but it’s nice to know that at least some focus is being put on a finite story.
Godz is deep in development and set to release on Facebook “soon.” For additional information and to be kept up to date on the behind the scenes goings on, visit the game’s official Facebook page.
